Wireless Microphone
Hire In London

Professional
Wireless Microphones
for Live Use in London

Wireless microphones are popular because they give people freedom to move, but they can be less forgiving than wired mics if they’re not chosen or used properly. Things like the space you’re in, what else is using wireless signals nearby, and how the system is set up all make a difference.

Our focus is on supplying wireless microphone systems that are appropriate for the situation and straightforward to work with, so they do what you expect them to do on the day, without unnecessary hassle or stress.

What We Hire and How Wireless Microphone Hire Works

Each wireless microphone hire is supplied as a complete system, ready to be used as a single setup. If you need more than one wireless microphone, additional systems can be hired alongside it.

You choose the type of wireless microphone that suits your use:

Wireless
Handheld Microphone

Best suited where the microphone needs to move with the speaker or performer, whether it’s being held by one person or passed between people during live use.

Wireless
Lapel Microphone

A discreet option for presenters who want to speak naturally without holding a microphone, keeping their hands free throughout.

Wireless
Headset Microphone

Designed for situations where consistent mic placement matters, especially when the person speaking or performing is moving around.

Wireless
Instrument Microphone

Used where an instrument needs to be amplified without restricting movement with a cable.

Each system includes the wireless receiver, transmitter, fresh batteries, standard receiver antennas, and the necessary cabling to connect into your existing audio setup.

Optional accessories such as microphone stands, windscreens, antenna upgrades, mic flags, and distribution equipment can be added where needed, depending on the environment and how the system will be used.

Wireless microphone hire can be provided as dry hire, or with delivery, setup, and on-site support added if required. This allows you to keep things simple, or add extra help where the situation calls for it.

Is Wireless
the Right Choice
for Your Event?

Wireless microphones are a good fit when freedom of movement matters, or when running cables isn’t practical. They’re commonly chosen for presentations, performances, and situations where the microphone needs to move with the person using it.

In more controlled environments, or where the microphone position stays fixed, a wired microphone can sometimes be a simpler option. Wireless systems introduce additional variables, such as radio signals in the area and how the space is laid out, which is why choosing the right setup matters.

If you’re unsure which approach makes the most sense for your situation, it’s usually better to talk it through first than to guess. A quick conversation can often prevent unnecessary complexity on the day.

Reliability, Frequencies, and UK Wireless Compliance

All of our wireless microphone systems operate within the UK’s regulated radio spectrum and are supplied for use under the appropriate Ofcom licensing. Our standard wireless equipment operates within Channel 38, which is the shared band commonly used for professional wireless microphones in the UK.

In some environments, particularly areas with heavy radio use, additional reassurance may be required that wireless microphones will not be competing for bandwidth within the shared spectrum. In these cases, dedicated and coordinated frequencies within Channel 38 can be assigned by Ofcom for a specific location and time.

These dedicated assignments are charged by Ofcom and must be arranged in advance. Where appropriate, this can be handled as part of the hire, so everything is prepared ahead of time. The aim is simple: reliable wireless performance, predictable behaviour on the day, and no need for you to manage frequency coordination or licensing yourself.

Delivery, Setup,
and
On-Site Support
(Optional Services)

Wireless microphone hire can be provided as equipment-only hire (dry hire), or with additional services added where needed.

Some clients prefer to collect and operate the equipment themselves. Others want delivery, setup, or full on-site support handled for them.

These options are arranged in advance, depending on the location, access, and how hands-on you want the day to be.

Wireless Microphones
Delivered

Wireless microphone equipment delivered to an agreed delivery window at the specified location.

Suitable where collection isn’t practical, or where access, distance, or timings make delivery the simpler option.

Wireless Microphones
Set Up

Basic setup of the wireless microphone system on site, ensuring it's connected correctly and ready to use.

Useful where timings are tight or you want reassurance everything is in place.

Wireless Microphones
Sound Engineer

Full on-site operation of the wireless microphone system for the duration of the event.

Ideal for non-technical users or situations where you want everything handled without having to manage the equipment yourself.

Wireless Microphones
Recorded or Streamed

Wireless microphones supplied as part of a recording or capture setup, where audio needs to be taken from the system rather than just amplified.

Requirements vary depending on the use case and should be discussed in advance.

Why hire from a dedicated microphone specialist

Wireless microphones are a specialist area in their own right.

This site exists because choosing, configuring, and using wireless microphones properly requires a different level of focus than general AV hire.

Focused on
Microphones Only

We specialise exclusively in microphones. That focus means the equipment, workflows, and advice are all centred on getting wireless microphones working reliably, rather than being one part of a much wider hire offering.

Real-World
Wireless Experience

Wireless microphones behave differently depending on the environment they’re used in. Our approach is shaped by real-world use across a wide range of locations, not just ideal conditions.

Set Up to
Avoid Problems on the Day

The way wireless microphones are specified and prepared has a direct impact on how smoothly things run. Our process is designed to reduce surprises and avoid unnecessary stress once the event is underway.

Support When You Want It,
Control When You Don’t

Some clients are happy running the equipment themselves. Others prefer everything handled for them. Our hire options are structured to support both, without assuming a one-size-fits-all approach.

Not Sure What You Need? We Can Help You Choose

Wireless microphones can be simple, or they can get complicated quickly depending on where they’re being used, how many people are involved, and what else is happening in the space.

If you’re not completely sure what type of wireless microphone, how many channels you need, or whether wireless is even the right option, that’s normal.

A quick conversation is often enough to point things in the right direction and avoid unnecessary kit, cost, or stress on the day.

Channel 70 is licence-free but limited and more prone to interference.

Channel 38 is the professional shared band used for events, venues, and live production, offering greater reliability and coordination.

We explain this in more detail in our blog and can advise which is appropriate for your setup.
